Priscilla Jane Stafford, 90, of Bristol and formerly of Granby and Simsbury, beloved wife of the late Theodore Stafford, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Bristol. Born in Westfield, MA on June 23, 1933, daughter of the late Harold E. and Maude (Smith) Case, she was raised in Granby and Simsbury and was a graduate of Simsbury High

After raising her children, Priscilla took a position at Cigna Insurance Company where she worked in the cafeteria for many years before moving to Florida where she lived for over 24 years. Priscilla returned to Granby in 2004 to be closer to her children and in 2021 she moved to Bristol.

Priscilla was an active member of Amvets and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in both Connecticu­t and Florida. She volunteere­d for many fundraiser­s and projects to support veterans in her community and was passionate about their work. A longtime Granby resident, Priscilla was also a member of the First Congregati­onal Church in Granby. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, word searches, and crocheting.

She leaves six children, Pam Ingraham of Ashland, ME, Gail Wolfe and her husband Robert of Eatonton, GA, Leo Mele and his wife Denyse of Granby, Angelo Mele of Schenectad­y, NY, Michael Murak of East Granby, and Stanley Murak and his wife Jacqueline of Cromwell; and many grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. In addition to her husband, she was predecease­d by a brother, Arlow H. Case, Sr.; and a sister, Elnora Olin.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 10-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., at the Hayes-huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby.
