Thomas J. Agostino, 66, of West Hartford, died on March 9, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Tom's greatest joy was raising his two sons, Tjay and Brad, and sharing a lifelong bond with them. The son of Barbara and Sam Agostino, Tom grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Conard High School in 1975 where he lettered in Varsity Baseball and Football and was selected to the All-conference Team his senior year. He graduated magna cum laude in 1979 from Bentley University, Boston with a B.S. Degree in Accounting and played on the football team. Tom completed the CPA Exam in 1981 and worked in Public and Private Accounting for seven years and then became an Executive Recruiter in Accounting and Finance from 1986 to 2010 when he retired. He was an Owner/partner in Financial Careers, Inc. with his good friend John Rotondaro of Wethersfield. He was an avid golfer at Indian Hill, Wampanoag, and Rockledge Country Club where he gleaned some of his fondest memories. A devoted NY Yankees fan, he enjoyed a passion for collecting sports cards and attended numerous national sports card conventions. He will best be remembered for his keen wit and sense of humor, with a joke always at hand. Since his early childhood he was blessed to assemble a tremendous group of lifelong friends, many since elementary school who will always be cherished including Skip Pons, John Mccormick, and George Knight. He will also miss his good friends Bob Makoski and Don Golden at Brookdale Chatfield.

In addition to his mother, Barbara Agostino of Farmington, Tom leaves his son, Tjay Agostino and his wife Kara, and grandsons Brayden and Camden of Ridgefield, and his son, Bradley Agostino and his wife Sarah, and granddaughter Avery of Gloucester, MA; his brother, Paul and wife Angela Agostino of West Hartford; his sister, Ann Marie Schumsky of West Hartford; his nieces, Barbara, Rose Anne, Gina, Theresa, and Lucy Agostino; and his nephew, Steven Shumsky. Tom was predeceased by his father, Sam Agostino, his brother-in-law, Roman Schumsky and his loyal and faithful black labs, Chaz and Trixie.
