Dragon, Carl "Mickey" E.

-

Carl “Mickey” Edward Dragon, 74, of Bristol, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1949, in Bristol, son of the late Norman E. and Margaret (Toscano) Dragon. Mickey is the dedicated and loving husband of Patricia (Moore) Dragon for 44 years. Mickey worked for the State of CT at UCONN Medical Center for 29 years. Many friends referred to Mickey as Rapstar. He looked forward to family parties, having a cookout, and spending time waving to neighbors and friends as he relaxed in his favorite hang-out spot, his garage. Mickey loved a good comedy movie, all kinds of music, especially oldies, had an eye for classic cars, and woodwork. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers. His family knows that he is in heaven playing catch with his two beloved Boston Terriers, Max and Rocky. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him so much joy. Mickey's smile and welcoming demeanor was just a few ways of him showing the world how big his heart was. Anyone who met him, left being a friend. Besides his wife, Patty, Mickey is survived by his daughters Theresa Brown and her husband Malvin of Southington, Jennifer Dragon and her Husband Jason Reklaitis of Burlington; grandchildren Landon Brown and Maliyah Brown; brothers Joseph Dragon and Francis Dragon of Bristol; sisters Norma Mallett of Terryville, and Cindy Carbone of Long Island, NY and several nieces and nephews including his beloved God Daughter Marcy Ouellette. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at O'brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol starting at 10AM until a celebration of life that will begin at 12PM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. To leave an online message of condolences, please visit Barbara's tribute page at www.obrien-funeralhome.com.
