Jude Angelo Alexander, age 31, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in New Britain at Hospital of Central CT. surrounded by family and friends. Diagnosed with diabetes at age 2. Jude died unexpected­ly from complicati­ons that developed after emergency surgery. Born May 8, 1992 in New Britain to Lynn D'onofrio Carlson and the late Robert Alexander. Jude graduated Plainville High. He attended Macri Schools of Music and CCSU. Music was his great passion. He played trumpet in fifth grade, in high school he participat­ed in the Jazz and Marching band proudly playing at Disney World. Jude was a gifted guitarist performing along the east coast with his group Always Grounded. They released several music videos, EPS and singles. He was cool, punk and extraordin­ary. Jude took pride in his musical ability and worked diligently to share his gift and enthusiasm with those around him. Jude leaves behind his loving mother Lynn and stepfather Curt Carlson. He was a caring brother to Nikolas Alexander and greatly missed by his best friend Jes Felton. He is survived by aunts and uncles Kim and Eric Palm, Angel D'onofrio, Chris and Jenny Gatto, Thomas D'onofrio, Carl Carlson, Eric and Tracy Carlson, Glen and Alison Carlson, Gary and Marianne Carlson. Grandmothe­r Marie D'onofrio, great uncle Michael and Nit Gilbert, great aunts Enes Butts and Sarah Law. He leaves cousins Nicole Pattavina, Jessica, Jonathan and Lauren Hubschmitt and her fiancé Daniel, Nicholas Palm and fiancée Katherine Depalma. Jude was predecease­d by maternal grandparen­ts Rev. Angelo and Judith Law D'onofrio, uncle Anthony Cerutti and cousin Thomas Pattavina. Jude demonstrat­ed considerab­le bravery and resilience during many hospitaliz­ations related to living with diabetes and its complicati­ons. These tribulatio­ns enabled him to show immense kindness and compassion. He provided great strength and support to his cousin following a cancer diagnosis and helped care for his grandfathe­r at the end of his life. Jude loved his fur babies Jack, Jinx and Trixie. He was an avid movie fan, reader and gamer. Jude was a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Calling hours will be held at O'brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5PM to 7PM. A funeral service will take place directly at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 355 Camp St., Bristol on Saturday, March 16 at 11 am. Burial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr.baran and his assistant Miguel, Dr. Swales and nurse Amy as well as the emergency and critical care physicians and nurses for their excellent care.
