Most notably Jack also worked in the drywall trades during the summers. He had a strong work ethic and desire to provide more for his family and worked well into his 70's earning him the respectful title of “the old guy” on jobs where he could outdo men less than half his age. Jack took enjoyment in sharing his talent of taping and sheetrocking. It is likely many of you reading this experienced his generosity and outright refusal to be paid. He was from the generation of helping others when in need.he was a tireless and ferocious worker and took great pride in his work. Married to a wonderful wife, Dolores Gionfriddo Dimauro for 62 years, he recently said, “Dolores, we had a really good run.” Jack grew up on Green Street where he made lifelong friends. He enjoyed laughing and telling stories about his time with his Green Street friends and beyond. He was very generous and made sure to keep his family close and connected by sponsoring the entire family to vacations at the Cape for more than 20 years. These vacations brought the family together and in particular, his grandchildren were able to connect and foster life-long friendships. Above all, Jack was inspired by his grandchildren. Jack made their interests his own whether on the court/ sports, the stage, watching old movies, fixing cars, and talking about life and politics. Always the consummate educator imparting wisdom (sought or volunteered) and celebrating the wins and challenges in the lives of his cherished grandchildren.
