Raymond Marie R. Paquette, 86, of Hebron, CT passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born to the late Ernest and Rhenda (Lucier) Paquette on June 30, 1937, in Laconia, New Hampshire. Raymond served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. He married his beloved wife Dorothy Lefebrve in 1960. Ray retired in 1992 from the Internal Revenue Service after 31 years of service. In his spare time, he volunteere­d as a Boy Scout leader in Wethersfie­ld (CT) and became a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Ray enjoyed playing golf, bowling and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, children Karen Paquette of Richmond (VA), Joanne and Bud Rosevear of Gibsonia (PA), Thomas Paquette of Columbia (CT), Anthony Paquette and wife Lauren of Colchester (CT), 12 grandchild­ren and 1 great-grandson, along with siblings Joe Paquette of Georgia, Andre Paquette, Ernest Paquette, Paula Paquette all of New Hampshire, as well as many extended family members. In addition to his parents, he is predecease­d by his siblings Helene Brousseau, Bernard Paquette, Robert Paquette, Paul Paquette, Ann Larochelle, Rene Paquette, Lorette Thibeault, and Marie Julie Paquette. Calling hours will be held on Monday April 8, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM at the Aurora-mccarthy Funeral Home 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Tuesday April 9, 2024, at 11 AM directly at the Church of The Holy Family 185 Church St, Amston, CT 06231. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Knights of Columbus or CT Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
