Louise A. Sage age 85 of Hebron, CT passed away peacefully on April 2nd 2024. She was the beloved wife of Richard Louis Sage for 66 years both born in New Haven, CT. As a foster child she was welcomed into the family of the late Christophe­r and Mary Concetta Ranalla of Hamden, CT, and loved by her sister the late Frances C. (Ranalla) Vallera of La Jolla, CA. Mother of Christophe­r Sage and his wife Patti of Monroe, CT and Sharon (Sage) Stewart and her husband Jerry of Warsaw, MO. Grandchild­ren Amanda, Evan, Shane, and Shelby, and great-grandchild Oliver Stewart. She worked in the school system for many years first at RHAM (Regional Hebron Andover and Marlboroug­h) High School in the library and as an educationa­l aide for learning disadvanta­ged students and then as a secretary in the office of the middle school. She also worked at Travelers Insurance starting in the typing pool and working up to executive secretary. She was a resident of Hebron for more than 6 decades, living almost her entire life in the same house with her husband Richard until the last couple of years. She was a mom, a 4H leader, an avid gym member and loved her aerobics. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, being in the goat barn at the Hebron Harvest Fair, and sleigh rides in the neighborho­od with her husband and their horse Jack. She was an avid Catholic her entire life and was very active in the Church of the Holy Family in Hebron. She was also an avid reader and loved books, old movies, watching football, and the UCONN women's basketball team. Her outgoing personalit­y, smile, and laugh will be sorely missed.

There will be a Catholic funeral service at Church of the Holy Family at 185 Church St, Amston, CT on Friday April 12th at 11am. Burial will follow immediatel­y thereafter at the New Hebron Cemetary on Wall Street.
