Every farm needs a good farm dog or two. Whether it’s a herding breed to move the sheep, a livestock guardian to watch over the fields or a lovable mutt to just make things more fun, a farm isn’t complete without one. And no offense to chickens, but dogs are probably the most photographed animal on the farm!

For our special canine contest, we want to see your precious pooches. If you’ve got some delightful dogs, send us their pics. We’ll select our favorites from all those entered and award first, second and third place photographers a special prize from our sponsor, Dr. Pol. (See “Prize Packages” on this page for more info on what you could win.)

To enter, read the official rules on page 47. Then, take a photograph using a digital camera or smartphone set at its highest resolution. All files must be in JPEG format. Minimum size at 300 dpi is 3 by 5 inches. Email your image as a large JPEG file to hobbyfarms@hobbyfarms.com

(subject line: “I Love My Farm Dog”).

In the body of the email, include your name, address, phone number and any other info you’d like to share. Just keep it to less than 100 words.

Enter a maximum of four images. However, you must send each image separately, and each email must have all the requested information.Because of the number of contest entries, we can’t respond to emails.

Only the winners will be notified. Winning images will be showcased in the upcoming May/June 2021 issue of Hobby Farms.
