Suzanne Brandt is ‘Real­tor of Year’


The Santa Fe As­so­ci­a­tion of Real­tors awarded Suzanne Brandt, CRS SFR, with the 2018 Real­tor of the Year award. With over 23 years of ser­vice as a Real­tor in Santa Fe, Suzanne is af­fil­i­ated with Cold­well Banker Trail­sWest Realty and holds a qual­i­fy­ing bro­ker’s li­cense. She grad­u­ated from Stan­ford Univer­sity and has served on the Cold­well Banker Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee for over 10 years, of­fer­ing her ad­vice and lead­er­ship. She has been a board mem­ber with the Santa FeAs­so­ci­a­tion of Real­tors aswell as serv­ing on a num­ber of com­mit­tees, in­clud­ing ed­u­ca­tion, prop­erty man­age­ment coun­cil, pro­fes­sional stan­dards, and griev­ance.

Suzanne serves on the board of Es­pañola Hu­mane as sec­re­tary and has been in­volved for a decade. Her great pas­sion for an­i­mals was passed along to her from her mother. She has been an ac­tive vol­un­teer with Santa Fe Habi­tat for Hu­man­ity Women’s Build, Pan­cakes on the Plaza, and as an alum of St. Michael’s School. Her peers de­scribe her as one of the most eth­i­cal, help­ful and knowl­edge­able bro­kers in today’s real-es­tate com­mu­nity. Suzanne was raised in Santa Fe along with her brothers who re­main in the area. Ac­cord­ing to Suzanne, she loves to travel and re­ally be­came in­ter­ested in NewMex­ico, its cul­ture and his­tory through her real-es­tate cus­tomers who have re­tired here and to­gether they have ex­plored all cor­ners of the state.

The Real­tor of the Year award is one of the high­est honors given to a Real­tor and is based on how he/she up­holds and ex­em­pli­fies the Real­tor Code of Ethics, in­dus­try pro­fes­sion­al­ism, par­tic­i­pa­tion in lo­cal, state and na­tional Real­tor asso­ciations, and com­mu­nity ser­vice.

Robert “Rob­bie” Dobyns SFR GRI, a Real­tor with EXP Realty Santa Fe, re­ceived a life­time achieve­ment award hon­or­ing his com­mit­ment to real-es­tate ed­u­ca­tion and de­vel­op­ment. Rob­bie has served in a wide va­ri­ety of ca­pac­i­ties dur­ing his long real es­tate ca­reer in­clud­ing pres­i­dent of the Santa Fe As­so­ci­a­tion of Real­tors, as a mem­ber of the board, and years of ser­vice on the ex­ec­u­tive, ed­u­ca­tion, com­mu­nity ser­vices and gov­ern­ment af­fairs com­mit­tees. Mr. Dobyns was hon­ored with the As­so­ciate Real­tor of the Year award in 2004. His most re­cent vol­un­teer ser­vice has been in help­ing to guide the de­vel­op­ment of a new Santa Fe Spe­cial­ist Des­ig­na­tion to en­hance Real­tors’ knowl­edge and un­der­stand­ing of sell­ing prop­er­ties in the Santa Fe his­toric and reg­u­la­tory en­vi­ron­ment.

Drew Lam­prich, a Real­tor af­fil­i­ated with Sotheby’s In­ter­na­tional Real Es­tate, was hon­ored with the 2018 Ris­ing Star award. Drew, one of SFAR’s new­est and most en­gag­ing mem­bers, serves on the as­so­ci­a­tion’s board of direc­tors and its mem­ber­ship com­mit­tee and has had his li­cense since 2016. He has a busi­ness back­ground in home ren­o­va­tion and in­vest­ment prop­er­ties.

Lastly, ElisaMa­comber with Showhomes of Santa Fe re­ceived the Af­fil­i­ate of the Year 2018 award for her ser­vice to the real-es­tate com­mu­nity. Elisa has been an en­thu­si­as­tic and ded­i­cated vol­un­teer on the as­so­ci­a­tion’s Af­fil­i­ates Com­mit­tee, of­fer­ing sup­port to a num­ber of key as­so­ci­a­tion fundrais­ing events. Within her field of ex­per­tise, Elisa has earned nu­mer­ous awards, in­clud­ing “Best of Stag­ing De­sign in Home Makeovers,” “Fastest Av­er­age Sell­ing Time,” and “Cir­cle of Ex­cel­lence.”

This year’s awards event was held at the El­do­rado Ho­tel and fea­tured a kitschy, outer-space theme for Real­tors and guests.
