Passed away at home in Cer­ri­tos, Cal­i­for­nia, on Jan­uary 5, 2017, at the age of 70.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band Peter Kahele. Three chil­dren, Sydney and Brian Sanchez, Alex and May­be­lyn Kahele, Two grand­chil­dren, Ka­pua and Kai Kahele.

A grad­u­ate of Kaimuki High School in 1964, she at­tended San Fran­cisco State Col­lege, ma­jor­ing in the fi­nan­cial field and re­mained there through­out her ca­reer. Re­tired on De­cem­ber 31, 2015, as Chief Fi­nan­cial Of­fi­cer. Her ded­i­ca­tion and rep­u­ta­tion in the Gar­ment In­dus­try was well known and con­sid­ered by many as se­cond to none. She was a tough but fair ne­go­tia­tor, ex­cel­lent man­ager, a men­tor, friend, was loved and at times, a Mom.

Fu­neral ser­vices, Fe­bru­ary 23, 2017, Mililani Me­mo­rial Park and Mor­tu­ary "Makai," at 10:00 AM, Re­cep­tion to fol­low at 12:30 PM. Aloha at­tire, flow­ers wel­come. Burial for im­me­di­ate and close fam­ily mem­bers only.
