Chevan Cordeiro, Saint Louis football The Crusaders’ senior quarterback set a state tournament record with 528 passing yards on 24 of 29 attempts with five touchdowns, and added 112 rushing yards on 16 carries with a touchdown in a 47-23 win over Mililani in the Open Division state semifinals on Friday at Aloha Stadium. Cordeiro’s 528 yards are the third-most in a game in Hawaii prep football history and he’s the only player ever to throw for 500 yards and rush for 100 yards in the same game.
Mitchell Quinn, Saint Louis football
The Crusaders’ senior receiver tied both the school record and state tournament record with 307 receiving yards on eight receptions against the Trojans. Quinn’s tournament-record five touchdown receptions were all on pass plays of at least 50 yards and he’s averaging 26.9 yards a catch this season.
