Che­van Cordeiro, Saint Louis foot­ball The Cru­saders’ se­nior quar­ter­back set a state tour­na­ment record with 528 pass­ing yards on 24 of 29 at­tempts with five touch­downs, and added 112 rush­ing yards on 16 car­ries with a touch­down in a 47-23 win over Mililani in the Open Di­vi­sion state semi­fi­nals on Fri­day at Aloha Sta­dium. Cordeiro’s 528 yards are the third-most in a game in Hawaii prep foot­ball his­tory and he’s the only player ever to throw for 500 yards and rush for 100 yards in the same game.

The Cru­saders’ se­nior re­ceiver tied both the school record and state tour­na­ment record with 307 re­ceiv­ing yards on eight re­cep­tions against the Tro­jans. Quinn’s tour­na­ment-record five touch­down re­cep­tions were all on pass plays of at least 50 yards and he’s av­er­ag­ing 26.9 yards a catch this sea­son.
