Full cheek snaffles add turning power. the twisted mouth (above) adds more bite to the horse’s bars for horses that are not as responsive to a smooth bit.

loose ring snaffles rotate freely. these are some of the mildest versions, including either thick, smooth metal or rubber-coated mullen and jointed versions.
