Both the International Federation for equestrian sports (FEI) and united states equestrian Federation (USEF) list “natural cannabinoids, synthetic cannabinoids, and other cannabimimetics (any substance with similar pharmacological effects to those of cannabis)” as prohibited substances.

according to the USEF website: “USEF equine Drugs and medications rules prohibit cannabidiols (CBD) and their metabolites.”

to avoid possible detection by blood or urine test, ask your veterinarian how many days prior to competition you should discontinue using any CBD products.
