I re­ally loved the “Be a Fit Rider” top­ics in the June is­sue. I was inspired to keep up my gym rou­tine even with six days of rid­ing a week. A gym was built re­cently right across the street from the sta­ble where I board my horses—al­most as if it were built just for me. I de­cided to ap­proach go­ing to the gym as part of my horse­man­ship train­ing reg­i­men. I have to ad­mit that af­ter a full day of work at my day job and an evening spent rid­ing and work­ing the horses, it’s daunt­ing to spend that ex­tra hour work­ing out. But once I walk through those gym doors, I’m fully charged and never re­gret tak­ing that ex­tra time. My rid­ing stamina has im­proved, and I’m in bet­ter shape over­all. Thanks for the inspiration!
