When Teeth Wear Down

-

Equine teeth are hypsodont, meaning they’re constantly erupting to compensate for the grinding action on fibrous forage that wears away the teeth’s crown surface. If your horse lives long enough, however, there may come a time when his teeth are worn down to stubs, making it difficult or impossible for him to properly chew his food. Senior feeds, which are easy to chew and can even be mixed with water to create a slurry, are an excellent solution to this problem.
