Gelding B

-

➞ With less balance and eye appeal than Gelding C, this gelding is long in his middle third, but maintains some balance between his front and hind ends. His withers are quite prominent and he’s peaked over the turn of his croup, but he has good length to his hip. Though his back is long, it doesn’t appear to have dropped.

His head is a bit plain with long ears, but he’s kind-looking, with a soft eye. His long, trim neck has a tidy throatlatch and ties in smoothly at his withers and pleasingly high at his chest. He has good slope to his shoulders and adequate depth to his heartgirth, though his muscling doesn’t show much volume or definition.

He’s standing very square, which shows that his knees are positioned low and flat. His front pasterns look sturdy and their angle matches the angle of his shoulders. His hind legs are slightly camped out behind him, but his hocks are well angled to be able to deliver some power from behind.
