Gelding C
➞ This gelding is the standout of these three palominos. He’s the best balanced, has the most eye appeal, and looks like a performer. His body divides into even thirds, and he has a smooth, level topline; well-defined withers; a strong back; and good length to his hip.
He has a pleasant head, with a soft eye. His pretty neck is longer on top than on the bottom, with a trim throatlatch, and ties in nicely at his withers on top and his chest down below. His shoulder shows sufficient slope for a reaching stride, and his heartgirth is deep for good heart and lung capacity. Though he’s not heavily muscled, his muscles show definition.
From the side, he appears structurally correct. He has substantial bone and good-sized feet to help him stay sound. His front legs are flat through the knees, and his front pastern angle matches his good shoulder angle. Though his hocks are a bit higher than his knees, they have a good angle, which will enable him to drive from his hind end.
