Navy searching for cause of jet crash
new iberia — Navy investigators are trying to determine what caused a training jet to crash at the Acadiana Regional Airport on Thursday. Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected from the aircraft before the crash. Their names were not released. Lt. Sean Robertson, a spokesman for chief of naval air training out of Corpus Christi, said investigations will focus on finding the cause and safetyrelated issues. The T-45A Goshawk jet was returning to Naval Air Station Kingsville in Texas from a training mission off the Florida coast. It had stopped to refuel at the airport and crashed shortly after takeoff.
