Taylor leaves with injury

-

Dynamo center back Jermaine Taylor, one of the team’s most important players over the past two years, suffered a left shoulder injury in the eighth minute Saturday night in the 2-0 loss to the New England Revolution.

Taylor suffered the injury after colliding with New England forward Dimitry Imbongo on a clean 50-50 challenge.

Taylor fell awkwardly and immediately tugged at his left shoulder.

Dynamo trainer Theron Enns rushed to check on Taylor and immediately called team physian Dr. Kaare Kolstad to evaluate the Jamaica national team star on the pitch.

Eric Brunner re- did not see anything,” Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear said. “I just came in and watched the replay at halftime and I think the referee handled it well.

“I think he had help from the linesman, but during the match I had no idea what took place so I had to rely on replay to give a good opinion.” Referee Edvin Juri

issued both men red cards. Boswell received his and Imbongo got his after he finally got up off the pitch.

“I thought the referee handled it pretty well,” Kinnear said. “You need to tackle people running with the ball and you need to have good, smart possession around the box.

“That is what we failed to do.”

Boswell wasn’t available for comment.
