Company makes strides to support breast cancer research
On Saturday, May 11, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk.
The CBUR team was well represented. This year alone, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors Houston region has promised to add to the $2,000,000 they have raised for breast cancer research and are continuing their efforts throughout the year.
Challenges fly from office to office, creating great camaraderie and momentum. Offices and their ambassadors chose their team names and created ideas.
Cyndy Cowley, corporate organizer of the march, said “Coldwell Banker United, Realtors is honored to join with the American Cancer Society to help fight this insidious disease. Every one of our offices made great strides to support this cause, even while helping home buyers and sellers get their deals done.”
Steve Barnes, president and COO of the Houston Division of Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, spoke at the kickoff breakfast for the American Cancer Society at the Junior League, and gave words of encouragement at the walk.
“As a corporate sponsor, we take our job seriously to be the single-largest fundraiser for this walk. And I am proud to say that our agents, staff and management team come through in grand style time and again. If another sponsor knocks us off that perch, then that means more dollars for the fight.
“But be warned … we won’t give up that No. 1 ranking easily.
“I recommend a quick read, ‘The Butterfly Effect,’ giving amazing examples of how your life matters and the difference that each one of us can make in the lives of others.”
