Nine years ago, Sharon Brier of Greenwood King sold a Chihuahua puppy to former assistant Nicole Smith (now with Heritage Properties). When she recently agreed to re-adopt the pup it was quite the doggone experience.

Brier arranged to pick up Angel at Nicole’s mother, Arylene Crow, so her other two dogs could sniff Angel out in foreign territory. When Crow opened the door, Angel came out of hiding and ran out the door to Rice Boulevard.

While Crow chased after her, cars stopped and others joined the chase. Brier put her two dogs in the car and drove to the scene where a policeman and others were lying on the ground trying to coax Angel to come out. Brier is either a dog whisperer, or Angel remembered Brier’s voice from puppyhood because Angel responded to her and was captured.

Brier reports Angel was traumatized for three days; she finally relaxed and is part of the Brier family where her life began. Angel’s mother, Mia and adopted-in-August Bandi have formed a contented trio.
