Purvis helps her clients envision a home where there is none
Founder and owner of Texas Real Estate and Co., Tiffanie Purvis has accomplished more in the past 16 years she has been in real estate than others at age of 35.
Purvis obtained her real estate license at age 19, while still in college earning her business degree at the University of Houston. After graduation, she was employed by a small-boutique construction firm and served as the in-house real estate broker.
“Working for this firm, I learned most everything about construction, it was hands-on learning and I was involved with everything. The skills, knowledge and training at this company has served me well, all of which benefits my clients,” Purvis said.
Her next move was owning her own development company and moving into commercial real estate. When the commercial market began to slide, Purvis moved into resident new construction and new homes, due to her experi- ence and interests.
“Cold calling was not a problem, and I called resident builders and began building relationships. Before long, I was working with 20-plus builders on new homes, serving as their real estate agent for their developments,” Purvis said.
Purvis is a broker with knowledge in the construction process, from an empty lot, to permits, materials and the foresight to see a house at completion, before the first nail is driven.
Purvis is multi-skilled and is known for multitasking. Also, her firm is a fully integrated and a full-service company. When builders have an investment opportunity, she is there to help put the dollars together, helps them find the land, provides the study on the planning, attends meetings, walks them through the purchasing process and assists in the design.
“I help builders and architects on the design of the homes, what would work best in the areas they are building and then help them sale homes during pre-construction,” Purvis said. Helping clients see a home in pre-construction definitely is a skill which Purvis has honed.
“The residential market today is so hot, new-home sales are going fast. So it is important to be able to help clients see a house at its completion, even if they are looking at a cleared lot. If they wait until the house is completed, most of the time, the house is already sold. Working with clients during pre-construction is the difference between their being success(ful) and losing the opportunity.
Purvis presently has more than 200 listings, many of which are being planned and will be rolling out throughout 2014 and into 2015. Purvis’ office is on Washington Avenue, in an older, commercial building she purchased in 2007.
“The building is spacious and allows us to have customer-appreciation parties and other social gatherings,” Purvis said.
Texas Real Estate and Co. employs 50-plus agents, yet, Purvis remains the top producer.
Purvis and her other half of 10 years have a daughter, Annelise. Together, they enjoy long weekends at their home in Galveston, skiing in Utah, and spending time riding horses at their ranch in Hempstead.
Purvis’ successful company was created on the “client first” philosophy, and her ever-present enthusiastic look about life and the real estate market continues to provide her clients with the utmost customer service and success in meeting their real estate goals.
