Native Houstonian Burnom helps clients find quality lifestyles
Yekcira’ Burnom, Realtor with Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living, is a native Houstonian and knows the city well.
“Many of my clients are relocating to Houston, and they are interested in different parts of the city. After being in real estate for over 10 years and being a native, I am knowledgeable on the many different areas, communities and neighborhoods in and around Houston. However, my main focus areas are the Third Ward and Museum District areas, which is close to the area I grew up,” Burnom said.
The communities in Burnom’s main focus area offer something for everyone. There are many older homes being renovated, and new construction.
“It is good to see the new developments in this area, and it is exciting to see the revitalization,” Burnom said.
However, her focus is on her clients, assisting them with more than purchasing property, but rather creating quality lifestyles. She works with buyers and sellers in all price points. She also works with builders and investors.
Burnom attended the University of Texas at Austin obtaining a degree in fashion design with a minor in business in 1995.
“My fashion design education taught me to pay attention to details, which is very important in real estate transactions, as well as creating the lifestyle my real estate clients seek,” Burnom said.
Understanding the diverse culture of the Houston, she obtained a degree in Spanish at the University of Houston in 2001.
After managing the family business, which was a natural hair care salon, for many years, she obtained her real estate license in 2003.
“At the salon, customer service and taking care of customers were my main focus. This included understanding what the customer wanted, and helping to make it happen,” Burnom said.
These skills, as well as her business experience have transitioned well into real estate and contributed to her receiving honors and awards.
In addition to her business expertise, Burnom has traveled extensively, relishing in the beauty and splendor of luxury around the globe. It is this polished, sophisticated and global perspective that she brings to clients seeking a lifestyle beyond the ordinary.
She is known to be a savvy and astute business professional, aligning herself with a team of professionals that includes photographers, loan officers, inspectors, interior designers, home staging experts, landscape artists, audio/visual installation specialists, home security, and home improvement specialists to meet her clients’, buyers’ or sellers’ needs.
Burnom is also active in the community, working as a volunteer with the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Houston Ballet Guild, Men of Style to raise funds for Sickle Cell Anemia, member of Preservation Houston and she is active at her son’s school as a member of the PTA.
