Houston officer is stable after wreck on W. Loop
A Houston police officer was stable after an accident on the West Loop near Bellaire Boulevard on Saturday.
HPD spokesman Kese Smith said the accident occurred around 10:35 a.m. during a funeral procession.
Officer Myles Burton, 32, was taken to Memorial Hermann, Smith said.
Burton has been with the department nine years and is assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Division.
Bellaire Police Department will investigate. construction site at Baylor University.
A school statement Saturday said 51-year-old Jeffrey Thaemert was an independent electrician working for Rosendin Electric of Dallas.
Thaemert died in an accident Friday at a building under construction.
