Castletree Homes will break ground on Benefit home

-

On Wednesday, July 8, Castletree Homes will officially break ground for the construction of a 2015 Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project home.

This is the GHBA’s 35-year-old annual fundraiser. Castletree is building the home in Miramesa, a 600-acre Canyon Gate Community. Land Tejas Companies donated the homesite.

Each year, two homes are built with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA members.

These luxurious homes are finished out with top quality amenities and features.

They are sold at market value and proceeds go to three local charities. They are Texas Children’s Hos- pital, the Alzheimer’s Association and HomeAid Houston.

Since this fundraiser began 35 years ago, $9 million has been raised.

Castletree Homes is one of several premier builders in Miramesa, a master-planned community off West Road near U.S. 290 in Cypress.

“A Castletree Home is built on a simple philosophy,” said Todd Atwood, president of Castletree, “exceed the customer’s expectations through distinctive designs, extraordinary craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. We will be applying this philosophy to not only each home in Miramesa, but to the Benefit Home as well.

“Serving and giving back are part of our DNA, and we want our buyers to ‘Love Where you Live’.”

The groundbreaking in July will mark the first day of construction that is expected to take three to four months, depending on weather, and will ultimately reveal a home that when sold, will provide not only valuable funds for charity, but a uniquely designed home complete with Green-certified features and high end Bertazzoni appliances.

“Castletree’s Benefit home will offer a complete package of amenities and style,” said Peter Houghton, chairman of the Benefit Homes Project.

“Castletree has launched their presence in the new community of Miramesa with a full range of designs. The Benefit home will showcase their attention to architectural detailing, comfort and value. The Benefit Homes team is honored to welcome Castletree to this important fundraiser.”

A second Benefit home recently has been completed. It was built by Perry Homes and is now open for visitors.

The home is in the Beech Creek section of Bridgeland’s Hidden Creek section. Bridgeland’s developer, the Howard Hughes Corp., donated the homesite.

“HomeAid is proud to be one of three charities to benefit from the GHBA’s major fundraiser,” said Bette Moser, executive director of HomeAid Houston. “We are also grateful for the commitment by Castletree to participate in the project as they debut in Miramesa. It is a win for everyone.”
