Agent gets enthralled by Normandy D-Day festivities

-

Enjoying a luxurious river cruise through the south of France seems like a pretty good idea any time of the year, but Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty agent Joan Lammons and her husband Richard timed their recent journey to bring them to the beaches of Normandy on June 6, the 71st anniversary of the momentous Allied invasion there.

Lammons called it “unbelievable,” as the area teemed with activity including parades, paratroopers, reenactments, boogie-woogie dancing and more.

“All of the trip was beautiful,” she said, “but the Normandy experience was exceptional in every way.”
