Maret combines training, skills to work for clients

Samantha Maret, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServic­es Anderson Properties, is not a typical real estate agent.

“At times, I can be more of liaison, a solutions provider, a universal real estate resource for guidance, advice and support,” Maret said.

Maret, who grew up in Katy, worked in investment banking for over 15 years in New York and in Los Angeles.

She also worked in the hospitalit­y industry for almost five, owning a corporate event planning company.

The combined training and skills she honed with these industries allows her work so successful­ly with her clients, which are primarily investors, builders, developers and flippers.

“I work with many clients with distressed properties, and provide the best solution for their needs,” Maret said.

For example, if a homeowner has been in their home for 25-plus years, or their home has been affected by a storm or disaster, they may come to a crossroads of either doing the needed renovation­s themselves or selling their home to an investor. Whichever way they decide to go, Maret is there to guide them through the process.

“If they chose to sell their home to an investor, then the investor will do the renovation­s and sell the home, while the homeowner moves forward, as I help them to find a new home,” Maret said.

Most of Maret’s clients work with her on many transactio­ns, especially her investor clients, due to the strong relationsh­ips she builds, and personaliz­ed service she provides to each.

“When I work with an investor, it is not just about a piece of property. It is about how the numbers work, and how to manage a portfolio, which is a skill I brought with me from my investment banking days,” Maret said.

“Berkshire Hathaway HomeServic­es Anderson Properties provides many tools and platforms that greatly enhances the services we are able to provide to our clients, which are awesome,” Maret said.

Even though Maret has close to a dozen listings in the Heights, she works in all areas in and around Houston.

“I am more client specific than I am geographic specific,” Maret said.

Maret also has a team of four, to provide the best possible customer service in a timely manner.

She also has continued to enhance her education to benefit her clients, which includes being a Certified Negotiatio­n Expert, and Member Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.

“I have been exceptiona­lly fortunate to meet some very amazing people, which has continued to provide wonderful opportunit­ies. I get up every day at 5:30 a.m., and prepare for the day. I also believe that my work not feeling like work to me is part of being successful. I am very grateful for the opportunit­ies I have every day, and for every client I am honored to work with and meet their needs,” Maret said.
