Margaret (Peggy) Coulson Bobbitt, 69, of Houston, TX, passed away on June 17, 2015. The oldest of five siblings, she was born in Bridgeport, CT, on July 27, 1945, to Helen Torbert Coulson and Paul Russell Coulson. Together with her husband John she raised 3 children while living in Indiana, Iowa, Oklahoma, Colorado, and finally Texas. She was a long-time member of Memorial Drive UMC, a devoted choir member, and part of the MDUMC Fellowship Sunday School class. She loved gardening, travel, and morning walks in the neighborhood. She will be remembered by many for her ever-present smile. Peggy cared about everyone she met, and loved meeting new people. She kept a positive attitude through the many set-backs she faced later in life.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, John, sons Paul (Michelle) and Kevin (Sara), daughter Karen (Richard); her father, Russ; siblings Ted (Jeanne), Helen (Keith), and Connie (Doug); and five grandchildren that she adored: Alex, Alison, Meredith, Peter, and Emily. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, and her sister, Betsy.

The Memorial service will be held on July 1, at 10 am, at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Greater Houston Women’s Resource Center, or a charity of your choice.
