1930-2015

Jacqueline Armandroff Zilker, died on Friday, June 26, 2015 in Houston. Jackie was born on April 27, 1930 in Indiana and grew up in Cincinnati. Her formal pursuit of knowledge began with a degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Cincinnati. Her curiosity led her to Hawaii and then Houston as permanent home base for her adventures. She was an information seeker, plane-flying pilot, opera fan, pre-Columbian art collector, rancher and longhorn breeder, rattlesnake shooter, zoo and museum volunteer, consummate reader of nonfiction, French speaker, world traveler, great cook, elegant entertainer, fashion devotee, seamstress especial, supporter of causes, opinionated, and strong-willed defender of her family and beliefs.

Jackie was complex, accomplished, determined, loving, nurturing, and highly intelligent.

She was a unique and irreplaceable presence in the lives of her devoted husband and playmate, her handsome man Jack Zilker; her grateful children, Sandra Zilker, Susan Zilker Murray, Jay Frank, and John Zilker; and her adored grandchildren, Elizabeth Murray, Cara Murray, Ryan Murray, Whitley Frank and Joshua Frank. Raise your glasses of sherry to a life fully lived!
