Alice Woodruff

1934-2015

Alice Woodruff, my beautiful sister went peaceful to join our Lord Jesus on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at “The Place” which is a specialized Alzheimer facility. Alice was born March 13, 1934. She lived in Houston and had an interesting career as an executive bi-lingual secretary and office manager. When she was diagnosed with Alzheimer, she moved to Vero Beach to be closer to her sister, while living here she went blind. She was very well taken care of and we had a helper she loved by the name of Pauline. Between Daisy and Pauline, she had someone come see her every day and take her out for lunch, car rides, have her hair done every week at the beauty shop and also for her milk shakes.

Alice had four nieces, two nephews, Leslie Presnal, Kelly Gists, Amanda Woodruff, Scott Whitehill, Alicia House and Stephen Whitehill; her sister, Daisy and brotherin-law, Cliff; sister-in-law, Sylvid Woodruff. Alice’s father, Guy Woodruff, mother, Amanda Woodruff and our only brother, Guy Woodruff, Jr, (Sonny to the family) are peacefully laid to rest at the Lake Jackson Cemetery, where Alice’s ashes will be laid.

To all the family and her good dear friends she wanted you to remember her as you knew her. She did not want any Memorial Services, just to remember her.

It will be four months come, July 1st, I thank our dear Lord she did not suffer and was in good health and took her home peacefully in her sleep. It is just now that I’m able to write this. Alice was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus. She is in heaven and can now see Jesus with a clear mind. Today my love for Alice is as strong as ever and I miss her. To you my family and good friends, I say to you, “Thank you for your love and support.” God Bless You.
