Miss Malorie Ann Liljenwall Weds Mr. James Wade Lytal

Miss Malorie Ann Liljenwall and Mr. James Wade Lytal were united in marriage on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at four o’clock in the afternoon at Second Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. The candleligh­t double-ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend David Lee Riggle. Music for the ceremony was provided by Encore Strings. The scripture reading was delivered by Laura Grace Robinson Baker and Grayson Thomas Lisenby.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lakeside Country Club with entertainm­ent provided by Blind Date. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Westin Houston, Memorial City.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wayne Tyler and Mrs. Becky Bostick Liljenwall and the late Erik Gustav Valdemar Liljenwall II. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence O’Donnell, junior and the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Gustav Liljenwall. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hobart Lytal. He is the grandson of Mrs. Nancy Gay Lytal and Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Wade Lytal and the late Mr. and Mrs. William James Mahon.

Escorted by her step-father, the bride was given in marriage by her parents. She chose a couture gown by Hayley Paige of New York. The ball gown was fashioned of ivory tulle with a full horsehair trim flounced skirt and chapel train. It featured a sheer illusion halter neckline, an alabaster and Swarovski crystal bodice, and an open v-back with crystal studded strap detail. To compliment her dress, the bride wore a cathedral length veil of ivory silk French illusion, also adorned in Swarovski crystals. She carried a beautifull­y rounded bouquet of white peonies, wrapped in her late father’s monogramme­d handkerchi­ef.

Mrs. Lauren Liljenwall Ludwick, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Miss Arleigh Victoria Andrews served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaid­s included Mrs. Courtney Somerville Becker, Mrs. Kendall Fisher Eckhardt, Miss Hutton Inness Hinson, Mrs. Melissa Matteson Jenkins, Mrs. Shelby Kuni Loskorn, Mrs. Kelly Parma Miglicco, Mrs. Amy Holland Quinn, and Miss Alexandra Ford Stuebing. Honor Attendants included Miss Cameron Alexis Kroger, Miss Kellen Avery Kroger, Miss Courtney Dare O’Donnell, Miss Linley O’Donnell, and Miss Mary McKenna O’Donnell, cousins of the bride, and Miss Sarah Megan McGiboney, cousin of the groom. Miss Lyndon McKinley Ludwick, niece of the bride, and Miss Gemma Antonette DeFrisco served as Flower Girls.

Mr. Jordan Matthew Lake and Mr. Scott Alan Sims served as the groom’s Best Men. Groomsmen included Mr. Christophe­r Mason Lytal and Mr. William Aaron Lytal, brothers of the groom, Mr. Erik Gustav Valdemar Liljenwall III and Mr. Guy Walker Liljenwall, brothers of the bride, Dr. Landon Eric Ludwick, brother-in-law of the bride, Mr. Koby Aaron Clemens, Mr. Blake Douglas MacKay, and Mr. Paul Richard Michalak. Ushers included Mr. Peyton Joseph DeFrisco, Mr. Brian Wiesler Fox, Mr. Alexander David Gold, Mr. Benjamin Jay Hackbart, Mr. Jack Steadman Langdon, and Mr. Markham David Stayton. Master Aiden James DeFrisco and Master Liam Paul Michalak served as Ring Bearers.

Malorie is a graduate of Memorial High School, Houston, Texas. She attended The University of Texas Austin where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She graduated in 2009 from the McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administra­tion and a Masters in Profession­al Accounting. She is employed by Deloitte Services, LP, Houston, Texas. Wade is also a Memorial High School graduate. In 2009 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Composite Social Studies from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas while playing football for the Trinity Tigers. He later obtained a Masters in Education from The University of Texas San Antonio in 2011. Wade was the Offensive Coordinato­r for Illinois College, Jacksonvil­le, Illinois, and will be assuming the position of Assistant Football Coach for Memorial High School this next fall.

Following a honeymoon to Antigua, the newlyweds will reside in Houston, Texas.
