During the early morning hours on July 22, 2015, Euldine “Dene” Landry Flowers, passed away after a fifteenyea­r battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Idabel OK, she spent most of her life in Houston and Cypress, Texas also living for several years in New Braunfels.

In the ‘80’s and 90’s Dene and her husband lived in New Braunfels, TX and owned and ran Rainbow Camp, an RV and campsite facility on the Guadalupe River.

Above all, Dene loved her family and friends and spent most of her life caring for them. She was a master seamstress, an avid gardener and loved to bake and cook. She loved staying up late playing cards and had an affinity for dogs, especially Poodles. She traveled the US extensivel­y by car with Walter, her husband of 45 years, and up until the age of 85 she walked two miles a day.

Dene is preceded in death by her husband, Wes Landry, two sisters, Evelyn and Marie and her brother, J.C.. She is survived by her beloved husband Walter Flowers, daughter Diana Landry, her granddaugh­ter Lisa Battaglia Sursavage and husband, Mark, former son-in-law Dr. Frank Battaglia, sister Margie White and niece Susan Aragon and husband Fidel of Sonoma, CA.

She was a brave soldier and fought to the end. Her family would like to thank The Chelsea Cottage and her caretakers Stan Taylor and Joy Simon, and their son Jace, for the amazing love and care they showered on her the last 2 years of her life. Even under the terrible circumstan­ces of her disease you made her happy. We are forever grateful. She will be missed.
