Donald W. Seifert, 75, went home to be with Jesus, August 6th, 2015. Don passed away quietly at home with his wife Peg beside him. He had fought a long courageous battle with cancer.

Don is preceded in death by his mother Mary H. Seifert and father Harold W. Seifert. Also preceded in death by baby Seifert, and ex-wife Nancy Knape, mother of Don’s two children Janice and Steven. Don is survived by his loving wife Peg, his daughter Janice(Steve) Bencal, son Steven Seifert and sister Beverly Washburn. Don also had two step-children, Michelle Hernandez and Jason(Amy) LeFebvre. He had seven grandchild­ren, Jordan, Zack, Kristen, Jenna, Amanda, Keller and new baby Lydia. Nieces and nephews, Kelly Post, Ana Rendon, Jefferson Pierson, and Leo Irish.

Don was born in Chicago, IL on July 3rd, 1940. Raised in Mexico City till in his teens. He moved to Houston and graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1958.

He was currently employed at Mustang Wood Group. He had also worked for Dow Chemical for 20 years.

Don belonged to several organizati­ons. Lifetime member of HLSR, Houston Elks #151, Hold’em & Hit’em, and CASI Space City Chili Pod.

Don was always the life of the party and could really tell a good joke. His smile was infectious. Loved all sports, Nascar racing, Houston Oilers and now the Texans. Him and his wife enjoyed taking time to go camping in their RV with many friends. He never meant a stranger. He is gone, but not forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on August 28th at 11am at the Houston Elks Lodge #151 on West Airport. A luncheon will follow courtesy of the Houston Elks and Auxilary of #151. Please come join his family in this celebratio­n of his life.
