Earlene Gerlich Sari, loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, aunt and friend died peacefully Thursday, August 6, 2015. She was born March 22, 1930 in Hallettsvi­lle, Texas and after graduation received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Houston, Texas in 1950.

Earlene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Sari. Daughters: Susan Heffner and husband Jimmy, Cindy Clark and husband Lindsay. Grandchild­ren: Matthew Clark and wife Heather, Brandon Clark. Sister Estelle Barta and husband Alvin. Special nephew Roger Balog and wife Beth, Special niece Sharon Janicek and husband Ronald along with several other nieces and nephews, including great nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Adela Gerlich and her sister, Lois Gerlich Smith.

The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home in The Woodlands on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2015 from 5 till 8, with a rosary to begin at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated August 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Unlimited Care, For the benefit of Cottage 4 Care Team, 31 Windfern Place, The Woodlands, TX 77382. Special recognitio­n goes to Mercy, Grace and Beatrice for their kindness and their exceptiona­l and compassion­ate care of Earlene. Additional­ly, the family would like to thank Rose of Texas Hospice.
