CHICAGO — Addison Russell hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the seventh inning, and the Chicago Cubs beat the Washington Nationals 8-5 on Saturday for their sixth straight victory. A ORIOLES, ATHLETICS SPLIT: Chris Davis homered, and Baltimore beat visiting Oakland 5-2 for a doubleheader split. The Athletics won 8-4 in the opener.

A PHIL LIES 4, MARLINS 3: Odubel Herrera scored the go-ahead run on first baseman Chris Johnson’s error in the eighth inning, sending Philadelphia to a victory at Miami.
