ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Matt Andriese pitched a twohitter for his first career shutout, and Brad Miller hit a tworun homer, leading the Tampa Bay Rays to a 6-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday night. Andriese (2-0) won for the second time this week in helping the Rays end a four-game losing streak. The righthande­r struck out five and walked none. A MARLINS, NATIONALS SPLIT: Marcell Ozuna and J.T. Realmuto each drove in two runs, and Miami won 7-1 at Washington to split a doublehead­er. Washington won the opener 6-4 behind six innings from Stephen Strasburg. A YANKEES2, WHITESOX1: Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman combined for eight strikeouts and scoreless relief as New York used its three big bullpen arms in the same game for the first time to secure a victory. A PHILLIES4, REDS3: Tyler Goeddel threw out Eugenio Suarez with catcher Cameron Rupp holding onto the ball following a violent collision to end the game, and host Philadelph­ia held on to beat Cincinnati. A TWINS6, INDIANS3: Juan Centeno took Corey Kluber deep for his first major league homer, and Minnesota won at Cleveland to end an eight-game losing streak. A CUBS8, PIRATES2: Unbeaten Jake Arrieta struck out 11 in eight innings, Anthony Rizzo had four RBIs, and host Chicago stayed perfect against Pittsburgh this season. A ORIOLES9, TIGERS3: Jonathan Schoop hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and Baltimore defeated visiting Detroit to stretch its winning streak to seven games.
