Patti Garrison focuses on finding clients’ solutions
Before buying or selling, Patti Garrison a Realtor with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty, suggests being prepared, which includes having a solid idea of your goals, wants and needs, which is the key to being successful.
“Most of the time, clients have many questions, and for each question there is an answer. This is one thing I do, I find solutions and solve challenges,” Garrison said.
When it comes to staging a home prior to listing, there are a couple of things sellers can do if their home is not updated to the present trends.
“Older homes can still be stylish. For example, clean the front door, put out new soaps and towels, add fresh flowers, unclutter all areas, and make sure the home is fresh,” Garrison said.
Garrison grew up in Houston and knows the city and surrounding areas well. Moreover, she has lived in many areas. Today, she lives in Memorial, which is one of her focus areas. However, she goes where her clients are interested. She also works with those interested in different types of abodes, from high-rises, to weekend homes and everything in between.
Prior to real estate, Garrison worked as an elementary teacher, and also renovated and built homes. Today, her clients appreciate her construction knowledge. She also has an eye for decor and can help clients see all that a home can be with a few changes.
“After renovating and building homes, I decided I wanted to be on the other side of the table, so I obtained my real estate licenses,” Garrison said.
After being in real estate 37 years, Garrison’s experience and knowledge of construction and the market has made her one of the sought-after real estate agents, which has led to many awards and honors.
For example, she has been a member of the Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty Circle of Excellence every year since 1997 and is a member of the Hall of Fame. Garrison has ranked in the company’s top 10 agents many times. She is also among Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty’s peak producers.
Yet for her, the greatest hallmarks of her success are the continued referrals from satisfied clients.
Garrison is known for her negotiation skills, keen analytical mind, and being determined to reach her clients’ goals. But most of all she loves what she does, and has great warmth and empathy for her clients.
