Miss Katherine Torrey Hine Weds Mr. Robert Johnson Frazier

Miss Katherine Torrey Hine and Mr. Robert Johnson Frazier were united in marriage on January 14, 2017 at a half past six o’clock in the evening at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The Reverend Eric Ray Huffman officiated the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Mr. Marvin Gaspard. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at Houston Country Club, with entertainment by Memphis Train Revue of Austin and Houston’s own Band of Brothers. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Dunlavy.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. John Eldridge Hine and Ms. Rion Kelly of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Nancy MacEachern Kelly of Houston and the late Mr. Jack Lee Kelly of Columbia, South Carolina, and the late Mrs. Virginia Kyle Hine and the late Mr. Eldridge Moseley Hine, of New Iberia, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roan Frazier of Houston. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Edwin Bock and Mr. Sam Leon DeStefano, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Evans Frazier, all of Houston.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory guipure lace gown designed by Farage. The elegantly fitted trumpet gown featured satin embroidered flowers over a silk taffeta underlay, a strapless sweetheart bodice, and a generous chapel train. Complementing the gown was a custom veil, bordered with lace from her mother’s wedding gown and appliqued flowers from her own gown. The bride wore a family heirloom necklace, a sixpence in her shoe, and carried a full bouquet of ivory peonies.

Serving as maid of honor was Suzanne Camille Nimocks. Bridesmaids were Sarah Elizabeth Broyles, Susan Kehoe Condara, Marjie Martin Dickey, Kelly Lacy Davis, Margaret Anne Frazier, sister of the groom, Mary Elizabeth King, Caroline Story Parks, Alexa Munford Quaritius and Melissa Louise Wong. The house party included Laura Jeanne-Anne Burdine, Brittany Mesec Frazier, sister-in-law of the groom, Sage Marie Klement, Dorothy Alexandra Reiss, and Hillary Love Riley.

Stephen Joseph Frazier, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Glenn Arlen Ballard III, James Patrick Burke, Junior, William Robert Carabasi, Jess Clayton Cole, Tyler Cochran Duffie, Mark Phillip Hablinski, Jr., Robert Thomson Hine, brother of the bride, Michael Fuller McNamara, and William Blake Taylor. Serving as ushers were Nicholas Grady Barham, Graham Hamilton Brown, William Lamar DeLong, Trevor Paul Howard, Christopher William Renaudin and Brantley Reece Williamson.

Katherine is a 2009 graduate of St. John’s School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority. Katherine is the recruiting manager for Bracewell LLP in Houston. Robert is a 2009 graduate of Lamar High School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Robert works as a reservoir engineer for Hilcorp Energy Company in Houston.

Following their honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Houston.
