Target opens another location

• Target has opened in Grand Parkway Marketplac­e, a developmen­t of Kimco Realty Corp. at the Grand Parkway and Kuykendahl. Other tenants in the 488,000-square-foot first phase include TJ Maxx, Michaels, PetSmart, Burlington, Famous Footwear, DSW, Ulta, Party City and Five Below. Tenants in a second phase being developed across the street include Hobby Lobby and Academy Sports + Outdoors.

• NewQuest Properties has signed ground leases with several fast-food chains on the perimeter of its Grand Morton Town Center developmen­t at the Grand Parkway and Morton Ranch Road. Taco

Bell and McDonald’s plan summer openings, while

Whataburge­r and Chickfil-A will open by year end. Grand Morton Town Center is a 600,459-squarefoot developmen­t anchored by Kroger Marketplac­e.

• Two retail developmen­ts are taking shape in the Woodforest community at Fish Creek Thoroughfa­re and Woodforest Parkway North. Hunington Properties has purchased 2.25 acres near CVS as the site of a 15,000-square-foot retail and office building in the planned Pine Market Center. A Star Stop

Chevron will open later this year on 2.8 acres at the northwest corner of the intersecti­on.

• Aldi, a German-based discount grocer with 32 area locations, will open a store at 11510 Broadway in May and at 7945 W. Grand Parkway near Fulshear this summer. A store recently opened at 8615 Hufsmith in Tomball.

• Zoe’s Kitchen, Yogurt

Land and Mod Pizza have leased space in a new retail center being developed by Transweste­rn on the southwest corner of Westheimer and CityWest Boulevard in Westchase.
