W. Virginia, Kentucky topple Baylor, A&M with runs in 9th

WACO — Cole Austin’s RBI single with two outs in the ninth lifted West Virginia to a 6-5 victory over No. 10 Baylor Saturday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark.

The Bears (15-4, 0-2) erased a three-run deficit but the Mountaineers (107, 2-0) rallied. WVU used a leadoff walk, a sacrifice, strikeout and a walk to set the stage for Austin. KENTUCKY 7

The No. 13 Aggies gave up the deciding run on a squeeze bunt in the ninth at College Station.
