ERVIN LYLE EGGLESTON 1924-2017

Ervin Lyle Eggleston, Age 93, formerly of Indianapolis, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24th, 2017, from Sugar Land, Texas. Ervin was born August 17, 1923 in McPherson, Kansas.

After completing Naval officer training at Northwestern University, newly commissioned Ensign Ervin Eggleston, married Wilma ”Jean” Loucks of Terre Haute, IN on November 22, 1944. Ervin retired with the rank of Captain in 1975. He was a past president of the Military Officers Association of America Houston Chapter.

Ervin was a member of Sharpstown Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Ervin also was an active member of Gideons International, and personally donated thousands of bibles and testaments. He was the Lords servant, and was honored to share the Word and bring family members, friends and strangers to Christ.

Ervin was preceded in death by his wife Jean Eggleston; they were married for 70 years. He is survived by five children, seven grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

Services will be held at Sharpstown Baptist Church on Thursday April 6th at noon.
