JOAN M. COULTER 1931-2017

Joan passed away on March 26, 2017. Joan was a loving Mother and Grandmothe­r. She was born in Port Chester, New York in 1931, the eldest child of Thomas and Lillian McCreedy. She grew up in Rye, New York and graduated from Rye High School and was later employed by AT&T.

She married Richard Coulter in February 1955. They first settled in Larchmont, New York, then moved to New City, New York; Ambler, Pennsylvan­ia; Atlanta, Georgia and then to Houston, Texas in 1971. Joan worked for Underwood Neuhaus for several years as an Administra­tive Assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Barbara Seymour. She is survived by her son, John; daughter, Suzanne and Mary Thoren; son, Peter and Melinda; son, Michael and Rosario; granddaugh­ter, Caitlin Coulter; grandson, Cameron Coulter; sisters, Virginia Dickenshei­d of Venice, Florida and Maureen Kruppenbac­her of Del Ray Beach, Florida.

A funeral mass is scheduled at St. Michael Catholic Church 1801 Sage Road Houston, Texas 77056 on Thursday, May 11th at 1:30pm followed by a graveside service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.
