GINA A. FOSTER 1948-2017

Gina Foster was born in Los Angeles, California to Frank De Luca, Jr. and Dee De Luca. She passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68.

Gina grew up in Los Angeles, California and was a 1966 graduate of Westcheste­r High School. Shortly after moving to Houston, Texas, she became coordinato­r of the first four Westheimer Art Festivals, from 1971 - 1977. Gina was a charter member of the Houston Financial Council for Women in 1974. She served as Vice President of Foster Laboratory, Inc. prior to the passing of her husband, Charles Hugh Foster in 1984. Gina was also one of the founders of Biotics Research Corporatio­n in 1976, and served as Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors for 35 years, until her departure from the company in 2011 due to her illness.

Gina is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Chip Clinkscale­s; her son, Scott Foster; her grandchild­ren, Travis and Gavin Thornton; her brother Frank Paul De Luca III and wife, Vicki; brother Daryl De Luca and wife, Peggy; brother Denis De Luca and wife, Debbie; brother Dana De Luca and wife, Gabrielle; sister Danielle De Luca and husband, Julien; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchild­ren.

Gina left an indelible mark on everyone with whom she came in contact. She had an incredible heart and a love for helping others. She always enjoyed a good laugh amongst family and friends, and will be dearly missed.

Per Gina’s request, there will be no memorial service. However, a graveside service will be conducted in Dallas, Texas at a later date yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doctor’s Without Borders or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
