Lona Wong born on June 29, in the year of “None of your damn business”, in Edmonton Alberta Canada. Left this world in the hands of her loving daughter Melinda Strain on March 30, 2017. Lona is survived by her only child, Melinda Strain and her husband Mike. Four grandchild­ren, Justin Zielinski and his wife Ashley, Joshua Zielinski, Erika Zielinski and Tyler Strain. Two great grandchild­ren, Tristin and Peytin Zielinski who were the luckiest Great Grandkids in the world to have Lona as their Nana. Lona is also survived by her two sisters Jeanne Watts, of Alberta Canada and Georgina Bolianatz and husband Jim of LeDuc, Alberta as well as numerous nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

Lona is also survived by her two other favorite families Holy Spirit Episcopal School and Walmart Westview. Both have been an integral part of Lona’s life for the last 22 years and she loved them dearly.

A celebratio­n of her life will be held on Thursday April 6th, at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church at 3:30 PM. A reception will follow immediatel­y after the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, Lona has requested donations be made to Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack.
