Kidwell shares her love of real state, encourages careers
Donna Kidwell, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Metropolitan loves what she does, and encourages anyone considering real estate as a career to let her know.
“I have loved and continue to love being in real estate for many, many reasons, and it started when I was just seven years old,” Kidwell said.
Kidwell grew up in the small town of Cherokee, Oklahoma. The banker had the only two-story mansion in town.
She loved that house, and at seven years old, she walked up to the front door and asked if she could see their beautiful home. It was no surprise they showed her every room.
On that day, a Realtor was born, even though it would be a while before she had her license.
“One of the reasons I love real estate is the opportunity to meet and work with many new people. I am a true people person, and enjoy working with each client. I also enjoy the challenge of finding the right property for my clients, which is very rewarding. I love seeing those smiles when I hear the words, ‘this is it,’” Kidwell said.
Other reasons for Kidwell’s love of the industry is that it is never boring, and there continues to be learning opportunities in many different areas of life and real estate.
“Every day is different, each client is different and each property is different, so there is never duplication, and it is never boring. Each day is exciting because you never know what it will bring,” Kidwell said.
Being a real estate agent also requires creative thinking and being proactive. Kidwell works in the moment, but she is also looking ahead to solve problems before they occur.
“Being a Realtor means you have your own business, but I have a fantastic support system and many exceptional tools of the trade through Keller Williams Realty,” Kidwell said.
Also, Realtors develop confidence and leaderships skills along the way as they negotiate contracts, work with others involved in the transaction and educate their clients through the process.
