MISS Academy is ‘all-in-one location’ for young women
Max and Crystle Stewart-Sebrechts left their red carpet lifestyle in Hollywood to move back to Houston to redefine femininity, one city at a time.
They’re trendsetters and risk takers and they’re not cutting any corners on their next entrepreneurship adventure into the cutting edge of pop culture.
Crystle Stewart-Sebrechts — a former Miss Texas and Miss USA 2008 — has had the vision of what she describes as an “all-in-one location” for young women, where they can go to learn everything that they want and need to know, that isn’t taught in normal schools, but that is helpful in everyday life and beyond.
Crystle has since transitioned into the world of film and television acting; currently starring as Leslie on Tyler Perry’s “For Better or for Worse” on the OWN network and playing Frankie on TLC’s “Too Close to Home”. Crystle attributes her success throughout her career to certain life skills, social graces and personal “finishing” touches which she picked up along her journey.
Today, Crystle and Max have packaged all of these into their very own concept: MISS Academy — A Finishing School for the Next Generation. MISS is an acronym for the brand’s pillars — Manners, Image, Style and Success.
Max, husband of Crystle and co-founder of MISS Academy, describes the concept as “the Equinox of beauty”. Originally from Belgium, Max’s business savvy along with his keen sense of beauty and fashion positions him as the company’s CEO.
MISS Academy launches this June with their MISS Summer Pop Up 2017 at Uptown Park, Houston. A series of 11 oneweek programs, throughout the summer, that will preview various courses in their year-round programs as well as incorporating their “electives” — advanced training in various interest/talent-based disciplines, such as photography, make-up artistry, fashion design, acting for camera, singing and more.
