WHERE THE TRENDS ARE

“I just discovered your podcast and think this is a great and entertaining way to keep up with real estate in Houston. There is something new to discover during every trip around the city and now I have insight into the action underway. This segment with Lance Gilliam on grocery stores hits home with a relatable ‘Houston’ topic. Yes, we do shop and socialize in the grocery store and we do love our food. Now we know where the trends are!” — Comment on LoopedIn podcast by Nancy Sarnoff and Erin Mulvaney featured on houstonchronicle.com

THE LEFT HATES OIL?

“The Left simply despises the oil industry. (And it’s amazing, the number of hypocrite liberal Democrats I know who’ve made fortunes in the Houston oil industry, foaming at the mouth along the way about how horrible the business is.)” — Comment on Lydia DePillis piece on perceptions of the oil industry.

‘APPLE FANBOYS’

WAGE THEFT

“Researchers might do well to look at the State of Texas’ own wage thief that demands state employees produce at 100%, even during extended hiring freezes or cutbacks. Employees and low level managers are put in the difficult position of working unreported hours or giving up any chance of a merit raise, (about the only raise given the last decade or two decades {except senior staff}). Any chance of sympathy from upper management for not meeting expectations is rare. Most are only concerned with results.” — Comment on Lydia DePillis post on wage theft.
