Knowing many areas around Houston is key for Hughey
Realtors work a lot behind the scenes, such as researching the areas their clients are interested in, and the surrounding amenities clients may require such as schools, shopping, green spaces, activities, etc.
Knowing these many areas around Houston, is key to Sherri Hughey, a Realtor with Greenwood King Properties, as she works all over the city. She is also a fan of Houston’s many unique neighborhoods and how they fit client’s specific needs.
“I make my clients’ area of interest my business and I focus on my clients’ specific needs. For instance, some clients like the walkability of the Heights and Montrose, the community in West U, Braes Heights and Bellaire or the large lots in River Oaks and Memorial,” Hughey said.
Spring is a great time to buy or sell, for it gives both parties time to move into their homes, and get settled before the school year begins and the holidays kick off.
“Also, spring usually has more properties available since it is when most sellers tend to list,” Hughey said.
Hughey has called Houston home for the past couple of decades, and has been in real estate for more than five years.
“I chose real estate because I really enjoy being with people. Buying and selling homes is an exciting time. Moreover, buying and selling a home is one of the biggest events in most people’s lives,” Hughey said.
Prior to real estate, Hughey worked in the oil and gas industry, in finance and accounting, and she has a master’s in business.
“I am numbers-oriented person and make sure I negotiate good deals for my clients so they get the most value for their dollar,” Hughey said.
Hughey is also active in the community and has served on charitable boards and committees. She has also continued her real estate education and is a Leading Relocation Specialist.
Hughey is known for being a positive person who enjoys life and has excellent communication skills. She finds a way to make things happen for her clients.
“I want to make the home buying/selling process a positive experience. I have been married for over 25 years and we have four children. I take care of my clients like they are family,” Hughey said.
