Baytown to get large project near I-10
• Houston-based KM Realty has purchased 146 acres at Interstate 10 and Texas 146 in Baytown from the Fitzgerald family for a proposed mixed-use development. The site is next to the Chambers Town Center development. No timeline for breaking ground has been established. KM Realty broker Steven Stone said that the company envisions a grocery store, multifamily and hotel developments, and entertainment and fitness options. Randy Keith is managing principal of KM Realty Advisors, the site’s developer and general partner. Kimley-Horn is the engineering firm.
Pet Supermarket, a chain based in Sunrise, Fla., that has three stores in the Houston market, plans seven more, according to Edge Realty Partners. Deals have been signed in The Plaza on Richmond at Richmond and Sage; Gleannloch Shopping Center at Grand Parkway and Champion Forest; the Market at Ninety-Six at League City Parkway and Hobbs Road; The Shops at Katy Reserve at FM 1463 and Spring Green Boulevard in Katy; Cypresswood Crossing at Stuebner Airline and Cypresswood Drive in Spring; Woodshore Marketplace at Dixie Drive and Oyster Creek Drive in Clute; and Pearland Parkway Marketplace at Pearland Parkway and Barry Rose.
• Boardroom Salon for Men announced new locations in Baybrook Mall at 18724 Gulf Freeway in Friendswood and 16031 City Walk Sugar Land, bringing its local count to nine. The 1920s country club-inspired men’s salon will next open stores in River Oaks and Kingwood.
• Bahama Bucks has leased 1,924 square feet in Cross Creek Commons at FM 1463 and South Fry Road, Fulshear, from NewQuest Properties. JJ McDermott of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. Jim Haviland of Windsor Realty Group represented the tenant.
• Amazing Lash Studio has leased 1,600 square feet in the Market at Crenshaw on Beltway 8 in Pasadena. Rachael Keener of NewQuest Properties represented the tenant. Grant Walker of Transwestern Houston represented the landlord, Crenshaw Retail Partners.
