Jerusalem and reality

Regarding “Trump puts Mideast on edge” (Page A1, Thursday), President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is nothing more than common sense. Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel for almost 70 years. It is the home of the Israeli Parliament, Supreme Court and Prime Minister’s office. Moreover, many of the world leaders protesting this recognition are the same world leaders who have had no difficulties holding official meetings with Israeli leaders in Jerusalem.

All President Trump has done is choose to push away an obviously false narrative in favor of reality.
